Feeling frumpy? How to be more attractive from the inside out!

You can just skip this post and get a dog, as they always make you feel loved and attractive!

 

I talk a lot about nutrition and exercise and live my life with these healthy habits. That alone, however, is not what I find to be the most attractive qualities in others.  These tips are character-based and rarely discussed.  I wish they would be put in the forefront of what is valuable but unfortunately, we live in a culture that adores image so we continue to highlight perky breasts, flowing hair, and tight bottoms.  Ok, enough of that. 

 Here are my tips:

1:  Take time to get to know yourself and do things you enjoy.

2.  Don't be petty.  It's a waste of time.

3.  Protect those that can't protect themselves.  (When my son was 3, he stood in front of an autistic boy who was being poked with a pencil and told the bully to stop. I heard this from his teacher.  Can a mother be more proud? )

4.  When you speak with someone, listen, and pay attention to details.  Everyone wants to be heard and it is too rare these days.

5.  Work on being comfortable alone and in your own skin, no matter its shape or size.

6.  Enhance your unique personality traits.  We've earned it by mid-life.  

7.  Put your big girl pants on and tackle something that scares you.  It can be anything.  Maybe it is calling someone you want to get to know or working on that book you always wanted to write. 

 8.  And when you do those great things, for goodness sake, be humble about it!
